This piece is written for Japanese Tuba player Hidehiro Fujita in 1999.
When I was college senior student, Hidehiro was my class mate and he gave me so many inspiration to my composition. This "Sunset", is inspired by sunset's moody feeling (day's down little by little, etc..) with gentle feeling. The original title was "Evening Glow", but I changed to "Sunset" from this publishing.
This is NOT a classical music! You could small improvise, use bent technique, and some of grace notes. Then you could play with much better feeling of these kind of music.
When get high notes, please do not forget about "always challenge", and after high notes section. It become the lower notes phrase. Please careful about intonation on that spot.
I hope you use this piece in your solo recital, encore, competition, night club, etc.. you can enjoy this piece in everywhere!
